Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi reminisce about Munna Bhai MBBS, hope for Munna Bhai 3 soon

Today, marking its 20th anniversary since its release, Sanjay Dutt and Rajkumar Hirani’s collaborative gem, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. remains deeply embedded in the hearts of its audience. The 2003 film, featuring a stellar cast including Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Jimmy Shergill, Gracy Singh, and Sunil Dutt, among others, holds a special place in movie history.

Honouring the milestone, Sanjay Dutt shared a nostalgic video montage from the film on his Instagram handle. The montage encompasses iconic scenes and even offers a glimpse of his late father, actor Sunil Dutt, within the cherished moments. The actor added a touch of emotion by using the film’s title track as the background score.

Referring to it as a “timeless classic,” Dutt expressed his desire for a third sequel to the film, stating, “Two decades of laughter, emotions, and a whole lot of jadoo ki jhappi! Celebrating 20 years of Munna Bhai MBBS, a journey filled with unforgettable moments. I am grateful for the love and support that made this film a timeless classic. Hoping that Munna Bhai 3 will be made soon!”

Arshad Warsi who played Circuit also joined in commemorating the anniversary, sharing a throwback picture from the film with Dutt. He expressed, “20 years, wow, seems like yesterday… I thank you all for loving Munna & Circuit so much”.

The film’s immense popularity led to a sequel, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, released in 2006, which also received acclaim from cine-lovers worldwide.
