Salaar crosses $8 million mark in just 9 days in USA, Canada markets | Hindi Movie News

Prabhas and Prashanth Neel‘s ‘Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire’ is losing steam with each passing day to Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ at the North American Box Office . The year 2023 belongs to Shah Rukh Khan, with two Rs 1000 crore hits this year with Jawan and Pathaan. Something similar was expected from his third release ‘Dunki’ as well but the response to the film has been very muted as compared to his two earlier movies. While ‘Salaar‘ has minted around Rs 318 crore in India, ‘Dunki’ has crossed over just Rs 170 crore in 10 days.

Coming to North America, ( USA + Canada) Salaar has minted the grand total of US $ 8.11 million in nine days, from 481 locations. While ‘Dunki’ has scored $6.85 million from 475 locations. Among recent Hindi releases, films like Animal, Jawan and Pathaan are still ruling the charts with collections of more than $13 million in the North American market.
‘Salaar’ carries a lot of significance for Prashanth Neel and its lead star Prabhas, as one is coming back from the super success of ‘KGF’ franchise while another is hunting for his first legit hit after the super success of ‘Baahubali’ franchise which released five years ago.
