Prabhas starrer Salaar has made a thunderous entry in theatres. The Prashanth Neel directorial has performed exceptionally well in its opening weekend and the movie, also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, has crossed Rs 200 crore nett mark in just three days of its release.
According to Sacnilk, Salaar had an overall 73 per cent occupancy in Telugu, where it has been the top performer among all languages. Due to the positive word of mouth, the movie is now attracting more footfalls in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil. As per early estimates, Salaar is set to earn Rs 61 crore on Sunday, taking its 3-day total collection to Rs 208 crore, approximately.
The first part of the epic action saga minted Rs 178.7 crore registering the record for the best opening day figures for any Indian title in 2023. The opening day figure of the film also surpassed Shah Rukh Khan’s two blockbuster movies of 2023, Pathaan and Jawan, which had earned Rs 106 crore and Rs 129.6 crore in worldwide gross on their opening days, and the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal which amassed Rs 116 crore on the first day.

The movie has already earned Rs 295.7 crore at the worldwide box office in two days of its release, the makers said on Sunday. Set in the fictional city of Khansaar, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire revolves around two friends Deva (Prabhas) and Vardha (Prithviraj). It also stars Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu and Sriya Reddy.

It remains to be seen how Salaar will perform in the weekdays and whether it will maintain its ongoing momentum at the box office.
