Saif Ali Khan underwent tricep surgery earlier this week. Around the same time, rumours about his surgery being one of the reasons behind the delay of his next, Devara emerged. The Koratala Siva film features Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor.
Now, it has been revealed that there is no truth to the rumours. A source close to the project has shared that Saif has successfully wrapped filming for Devara. The delay is owing to ongoing work on the film’s VFX and music.
The source shared, “Saif’s injury is not the cause of the delay in Devara. Saif has already completed filming for the movie. The delay is attributed to the ongoing work on VFX and music by the filmmakers.”
Earlier, Saif Ali Khan told Filmfare that his tricep surgery had to be done due to an old injury. He was discharged from the hospital soon after.
For the unversed, Devara’s release date has been pushed back from its initial April 5 release date. Further details are awaited. In Devara, Saif is set to play the main antagonist. The makers recently shared a teaser that hinted at a gripping watch.
