Robert Irwin and Rorie Buckey made their relationship red carpet official at the July 3 premiere of “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One” in Sydney. Irwin is the son of the late nature TV show host Steve Irwin, while Buckey is the late Heath Ledger’s niece (her mother, Kate Buckey, is Ledger’s sister). The duo were all smiles as they walked the red carpet seven months after they were first spotted together in Queensland, Australia, in November 2022.
In the photos, Robert wore a black suit over a black buttoned-down shirt. His outfit was perfectly coordinated with Buckey’s. She wore an asymmetrical black dress with a cutout at the side. As they posed for pictures and smiled for the cameras, the young couple kept their arms wrapped around one another.
While Robert is passionate about photography, the 19-year-old hasn’t made his romance with Buckey Instagram official just yet. However, his big sister, Bindi Irwin, is no doubt glad to see her brother stepping out with his girlfriend. In a 2022 interview with E! News, Robert revealed his sister has been encouraging him to find someone special for quite some time now, but she definitely has ulterior motives for wanting her brother to be more open when it comes to his dating life.
“It’s pretty funny because of course, my sister has gotten married and had a kid and there’s always a lot of rumors that go around,” he said. “‘Bindi’s having a second kid’ or ‘they’re having triplets.’ There’s always so many crazy things that happen so Bindi always says, ‘Robert, it’s your turn now. You gotta find someone to take the heat off me!'”
