RHOC’s Shannon Beador’s Ex John Janssen Sues Her Over $75K She Allegedly Borrowed for a Facelift – News JoJo

Shannon Beador, one of The Real Housewives of Orange County stars, finds herself at the center of a legal controversy. The drama escalated when her ex-boyfriend, 61-year-old John Janssen, took legal action against her. The lawsuit, filed on March 20, 2024, per documents sourced by People magazine, accuses Beador of not repaying a significant sum of money she allegedly borrowed from Janssen.

The complaint detailed by Janssen alleges that Beador sought financial assistance from him in 2022, asking for $75,000 purportedly for a facelift procedure. According to the court filing, Beador received $40,000 via wire transfer in January 2022 and another $35,000 through a personal check in May 2023. Despite agreeing to repay the borrowed amount with interest, Janssen claims that Beador has not honored this agreement, leading to the charges of breach of oral contract and promissory fraud against her.

Beador issued a statement to People in response to the lawsuit:

“I am shocked and disappointed that John has a filed a lawsuit. My attorney has been in constant communication with his counsel. I agreed to pay John what he wanted because I knew that attorneys fees would surpass the amount sought, but more importantly to eliminate the negative emotional components that come with a lawsuit. It is important that I continue to focus on the positive aspects of my life and move forward,” the statement read.

“John declined the offer because he refused to sign a mutual non-disparagement agreement. I was hoping that if I met his baseless demand we could at least use this as an opportunity to bring complete closure to this chapter in my life,” the statement concluded.

Adding to the complexity of the situation is the timeline of Beador and Janssen’s deteriorating relationship, which coincided with Beador’s arrest for DUI and hit-and-run charges in September 2023, followed by her sentencing to three years of informal probation in November.

The pair’s fallout became more pronounced as Janssen developed a romantic relationship with Beador’s former castmate Alexis Bellino, leading to public displays of affection that Beador admitted left her hurt.

“How many Orange County Housewives have there been?” she quipped to E! News at the time. “Is that your dating pool?”
