Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Animal has been a big hit, sparking widespread discussions. The movie, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, recently premiered on OTT and has already generated a lot of buzz. A sequel titled Animal Park has been announced, but it seems that fans will have to wait a bit longer before production begins.
According to a recent report, sources close to director Sandeep Reddy Vanga have disclosed that the writing stage for Animal Park will commence in February. Meanwhile, the director is preparing to shoot his cop thriller, Spirit, with Prabhas in the coming months. At the same time, the writing team will be developing the script for the sequel based on the plotline provided by Sandeep.
The insider also mentioned that the framework for Animal Park was established during the creation of Animal, as it was intended to be a franchise. The second installment will center on Ranbir Kapoor’s character, Ranvijay, and his doppelgänger. Additionally, the sequel will explore the relationship between Rashmika Mandanna’s character, Geetanjali, and Ranvijay, as well as his relationship with his son.
It’s been stated that while Sandeep is filming Spirit, he will receive regular updates on the script, primarily being developed by Pranay Vanga. He will actively collaborate with the writers in the latter half of 2024. The source also revealed that Ranbir Kapoor will shift his focus to Animal Park in the following year.
