Ram temple trust can now accept foreign donations

NEW DELHI: Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, set up by the central government to construct the Shri Ram Temple at Ayodhya, can now accept foreign contributions with the Union home ministry registering the body under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. Home ministry sources told TOI that MHA had approved the trust’s application for registration under FCRA.
The temple trust posted on X that the “FCRA section of Ministry of Home Affairs has registered the trust ‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra’ to accept the voluntary contribution from the foreign sources”.
The consecration ceremony of the temple is expected to take place in January 2024.
