ALWAR/JAIPUR: Goons in Alwar’s Behror shot dead a 30-year-old man on Tuesday and later recorded a video to own up to the chilling murder.
The murder of Sanjay Khori sparked outrage in his village, leading to several senior officials camping at Behror police station.
A video on social media soon went viral in which miscreants owned up to the victim’s murder by shooting bullets in his head.
Twirling his moustache, the unidentified accused claims in the video that they shot the victim with six bullets in majboori “compulsion.”
As per locals, the victim was widely known in his locality and had gone to celebrate Holi at a temple on Tuesday evening.
He was meeting villagers when goons shot him dead. A large crowd swelled around the temple as a profusely bleeding Khori was taken to a private hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Calling the murder a heinous crime, Bhiwadi SP Anil Beniwal said he will camp in Behror till the accused are arrested.
Sources said prima facie it appears that the victim was first taken into confidence by the assailants. Sources in Bhiwadi police said they have detained one suspect for interrogation.
Police suspect that an old enmity was possibly the main motive behind Khori’s murder. “The main culprits were acquaintances of the victim. He (Khori) was shot dead after a carefully planned conspiracy,” said an official.
