NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi embarked on the third day of his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra‘ in Jharkhand, resuming from Dhanbad after a night halt in Tundi block.
The yatra recommenced at Govindpur in Dhanbad city, and Congress MP Jairam Ramesh highlighted the significance of Bokaro, calling it a steel city and a monument to India’s economic development, primarily attributed to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
Jharkhand Congress vice-president Brajendra Prasad Singh outlined the route, mentioning key locations like Saraidhela, IIT-ISM gate, Randhir Verma Chowk, Shramik Chowk near the railway station, and Bank More, where Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to address a public rally. Afterward, the yatra would proceed towards Bokaro Steel City.
The comprehensive yatra, covering 804 km and 13 districts in Jharkhand over eight days, is part of a larger journey spanning 6,713 km across 15 states. The initiative is set to conclude in Mumbai on March 20.
Rahul Gandhi’s night halt was scheduled in Ramgarh district on Sunday, marking another phase in this extensive outreach effort.
