Rahul Gandhi slams ED as ‘Extortion Directorate’ during Telangana rally | India News

NEW DELHI: Congress leader took a jibe at the recent ED raids calling the Enforcement Directorate- ‘Extortion Directorate’.
In a rally in Telangana where the Congress also launched its Manifesto, Rahul Gandhi said, “Today ED has become Extortion Directorate. BJP is running the world’s biggest washing machine. The country’s most corrupt leaders are standing with Narendra Modi.Electoral bonds are the biggest scam in the world. The idea of ‘donate and take money’ is clearly visible in the list of electoral bonds. Modi government seized the bank accounts of Congress, but we are not afraid of them. We defeated BJP’s B team in Telangana, in the coming elections we are going to defeat the A team (BJP).”
Rahul Gandhi also talked about the Congress manifesto and the guarantees that the party aims to provide. As per the manifesto, Rahul Gandhi also mentioned 5 guarantees that the manifesto aims at. Youth justice, women’s justice, ‘Kisan Nyay (farmer justice), labour justice and sharing justice were the five main guarantees promised by the Congress leader under which he mentioned job promises, apprenticeship, women reservation in job, MSP, right to reservation among other things.
Describing the manifesto, the Congress leader said, “this is a revolutionary manifesto that will change the face of India. This is not ours but yours, it is the manifesto of the soul of India. We have created a manifesto after listening to and understanding your heart, which can change your life. The people of Telangana know very well that Congress does what it says.”
Rahul Gandhi also alleged that the previous CM of Telangana ran a government that “tapped the phones of thousands of people, misusing intelligence-tax agencies and the police”. “The previous Chief Minister ran the government by intimidating people and snatched your money from you. Today the action is going on in Telangana and the truth is in front of you, he added.
