Purab Kohli has completed nearly two decades in the Hindi film industry, he shot to fame with ‘Rock On’, and continued to make his mark in movies and series such as Jal, Out of Love, Bling, and Airlift, among others. Like many actors, Purab has faced both highs and lows in his personal and professional life.
In a recent conversation, the Rock On actor opened up about how the constant scrutiny surrounding his personal life affected him.He also addressed the opinions of those who still view having a child out of wedlock as a taboo.

In 2018, Purab married his long-time girlfriend and live-in partner, Lucy Payton. The couple had been in a relationship for an extended period and welcomed their daughter Inaaya in 2015. Prior to Lucy, Purab was married to Yamini Namjoshi, but unfortunately, the two separated after three years. As an actor, Purab found the public scrutiny around his relationships challenging.

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, he made a strong note that people are not ready to accept when someone has their baby out of wedlock and said that it is still ‘a problem in the society’. Speaking about being questioned about his daughter Inaya in any candid talks, the actor said that such questions will disturb anyone and it will make an impact on his daughter’s life too. He emphasized that Inaya understands the situation well and she knows she was born before Lucy and he got married. The actor further added that if it is possible to have a child without marrying, then there is nothing wrong in raising them.

He said that when he was younger, he would be worried about his personal life getting exposed to the public. He learned that none of the people have anything to do with it and stated that he just answers the questions and moves on.
