PTI slams interior minister for ‘incendiary’ remarks against Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) slammed interior minister Rana Sanaullah for his “inflammatory” remarks saying the former prime minister had taken political rivalry to a point of enmity.
In an interview with a private TV station on Sunday, Sanaullah said the narrative built by Imran had led to a situation where only one of the two parties, PTI and PML-N, could exist and the other would be “eliminated” from the political scene.
Blaming Imran for an anarchy-like situation in the country, he said the PTI chairman’s rhetoric had created so much bad blood among followers of both parties that either he or they (PML-N leaders) could be killed.
Condemning Sanaullah’s comments, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry asked if the minister was “doing politics or running a gang?” The Supreme Court was “absolutely right” in calling PML-N the “Sicilian mafia”, he said.
Former human rights minister Shireen Mazari urged the judiciary to take note of the minister’s “murderous intent” and “direct threat” to the PTI chairman.
