Prince William & Princess Kate Visit Cornwall for the First Time Since Getting Their New Royal Titles

Prince William and Princess Kate are making a special visit.

The 40-year-old and 41-year-old royal couple made a visit to Cornwall, England for the first time since becoming the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II last year.

The two are also known as the Prince and Princess of Wales, as they have multiple titles. They also retain their titles as Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which was given to them by the late Queen when they wed in 2011.

William and Kate visited the National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth, and learned about the maritime history of the area. They were also shown a project in the workshop, where they’re working on refurbishing Kiwi, the sailing dinghy presented to the late Queen and Prince Philip as a wedding present from the Royal New Zealand Navy, via People.

They also spoke to a group participating in the “Young and Talented Cornwall,” which aids people regardless of their background. Then, they watched students from a local school have a model boat race.

Prince William has visited since he received the title, but this was the couple’s first visit for official duties together.
