Prabhas’ Salaar inches towards Rs 16 crore for its premiere in North America | Hindi Movie News

There is no stopping Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s Salaar-Part 1: Ceasefire: the film has generated a massive buzz for itself, and many are already expecting it to be a blockbuster. And, going by the numbers, the film is pretty much enroute that destination. The film, which is all set to have its premiere in North America( USA and Canada) in less than 24 hours, has generated a record breaking sales of $1.95 million ( Rs 16 crore) from its 749 locations where it has over 2400 shows and has sold nearly 69000 tickets.And going by the buzz, the film expected to reach the final number of nearly $2.5 million for its premiere shows, a record of sorts.
Some of the highest grossing Indian films in North America are Baahubali 2- The Conclusion, Pathaan, Jawan, RRR and Animal. With a nearly $2.5 million headstart, the journey ahead for Salaar would be smooth if the film meets the audience expectation.

In India as well, the film is expected to take a bigger opening than Dunki, with which it is clashing. However, the battle is getting a bit messier as multiplex cinema owners in North Indian are preferring Dunki over Salaar and giving less showcasing to the Prabhas starrer. With the way things were taking place, as per reports, the production house Hombale Films have planned to take their films out of PVR Inox and Miraj cinemas in South India.With few hours to release, everyone is expecting the matter to reach an amicable conclusion.
