PM Modi visits Ram Setu’s origin ‘Arichal Munai’ point, ahead of pran-pratishtha ceremony | India News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday morning, offered prayers at Kothandaramaswamy Temple in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu.
Earlier, he visited the Arichal Munai, the point from where the Ram Setu was built, near Dhanushkodi, and paid floral tributes at the seashore, a day ahead of the pran-pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.
The Prime Minister was also seen performing ‘anulom vilom’ at Arichal Munai Point.
He started his three-day tour of Tamil Nadu by attending the inauguration of the Khelo India Games 2023 in Chennai on Friday. During his visit, he also made stops at the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam and the Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameswaram on Saturday.
The Prime Minister’s visit to these Tamil Nadu temples, both with connections to the epic Ramayana, comes just before the consecration of the majestic Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, scheduled for Monday. Earlier this week, he also paid visits to temples in Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, which hold significance in the Ramayana tale.
“As we prepare for the auspicious occasion of the consecration of the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, it is heartening to visit these temples that hold deep religious and cultural significance,” Prime Minister Modi said.
The Prime Minister’s visit to various temples across South India reflects his commitment to honoring and promoting the rich heritage and traditions of the country.
