PM Modi to lay foundation stone for redevelopment of Udaipur railway station tomorrow | India News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Wednesday lay the foundation stone for redevelopment of Udaipur railway station to provide world-class amenities to the public.
The railway administration had in January 2023 sanctioned Rs 354 crore for developing the Udaipur railway station as a world class station.

A number of facilities and amenities such as car parking, separate gates for arrival/departure, security checking area, 72-metre-wide concourse area including 20 new lifts and 26 new escalators in the main station building will be added during redevelopment.
Both foot overbridges at the station will be connected to the sky walk. Unreserved waiting room, executive waiting room, retail stalls, toilets, baggage scanner and coach indicator as well as all kinds of modern passenger amenities will also be provided at the station.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for gauge conversion project and for setting up of a new line from Nathdwara to Nathdwara town in Rajsamand.
During his Rajasthan visit, PM Modi will launch development projects worth over Rs 5,500 crore in the state on Wednesday.
He will dedicate three national highway projects to the nation, including 114km long six-lane Udaipur to Shamlaji section of NH-48; 110km long widening and strengthening to 4 lane with paved shoulder of Bar-Bilara-Jodhpur Section of NH-25; and 47km long two lanes with paved shoulder section of NH 58E.
The Prime Minister will also be visit Shantivan complex of Brahma Kumaris, a religious organisation, on Abu Road.
