PM Flies Sortie: PM Modi flies sortie in Tejas trainer aircraft | India News

BENGALURU: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday successfully completed a sortie on the light combat aircraft (LCA) Tejas. According to officials, the PM took to the skies on a trainer variant of the fighter aircraft.
“…The experience was incredibly enriching, significantly bolstering my confidence in our country’s indigenous capabilities, and leaving me with a renewed sense of pride and optimism about our national potential,” PM said after his flight.

After his visit to Bengaluru and flying in the Tejas, he was scheduled to leave for Telangana to address an election rally.
Tejas is a homegrown indigenous aircraft designed and developed by the ADA, a DRDO lab in Bengaluru and manufactured by defence PSU HAL headquartered in Bengaluru.
