Pics: Inside the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne with stars

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) Awards were presented on Friday in Melbourne, honouring the best of Indian film and OTT content on a global scale. And the top prize went to Telugu film Sita Ramam, with Rani Mukerji, Vjay Varma, and Rajshri Deshpande also winning in the acting category. Agra, an independent film, surprised everyone by winning two major awards, including Best Actor.

The awards ceremony, held at Melbourne’s iconic Hamer Hall in all its splendour, saw the convergence of artists, filmmakers, and enthusiasts. While the jury awards recognised excellence in cinema and streaming over the previous year, the honorary awards recognised popular and ground-breaking aspects of the industry.
