NEW DELHI: A flight on Monday encountered a distressing situation when a passenger allegedly attempted suicide in the aircraft restroom, prompting an emergency landing.
The incident took place during an EVA Air journey from Bangkok, Thailand, to London on Friday, as reported by the Sun. As the plane descended, crew members discovered the individual in the restroom, where it was suspected they were attempting self-harm.
The flight attendants and onboard medical personnel promptly assisted the person. Upon landing at an airport in London, approximately at 7:30 pm, the passenger received initial medical attention before being transported to a hospital for further treatment.
EVA Air confirmed the occurrence on the BR67 Bangkok-London flight on March 15, though the specific London airport involved was not disclosed.
