JAMMU: Jammu & Kashmir Police chief Dilbag Singh on Thursday said the twin attacks on civilians in Dhangri of Rajouri district in the Union Territory early this year were orchestrated by infiltrators from Pakistan.
He said this while interacting with media persons on the sidelines of a valedictory function of the 11th edition of Police Martyrs Memorial Cricket Tournament at Kathua sports stadium here today.
Referring to the infiltration from across the LoC, the DGP said, “During the last year, most foreign terrorists sneaked in with the support of Pakistan and one such group orchestrated the Dhangri attacks and killed innocent people.” “Some infiltrators sneaked through Kupwara and Baramulla before snowfall and were neutralized by security forces.”
“Around 56 foreign terrorists from Pakistan who were launched by different Pak agencies have been eliminated in previous year,” he said.
DGP Singh added that those terrorists who are still active will be neutralized soon.
