Olivia Wilde is opening up about the backlash to her outfit that she wore to Colton Underwood and Jordan C. Brown‘s wedding over the weekend.

The 39-year-old Don’t Worry Darling director revealed that she showed up to the nuptials wearing a white dress from Nili Lotan.

After sharing her look, fans called her out for wearing the wedding dress to another person’s wedding.

Olivia told fans on social media that she “wore a wedding dress to a wedding so I could make a joke about it in my toast.”

Even though she made that point on her Instagram Story, fans still disapproved. But Colton and Jordan didn’t.

“The grooms approved,” she added, sharing a pic of her hugging and congratulating the newlyweds.

Speaking with People about their wedding, Colton said that they wanted to “break some of the traditional norms of what a ceremony and a wedding look like.”
