Official bungalow no more, Rahul Gandhi may now live here as tenant | India News

NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who had to vacate his official bungalow after being disqualified as a Lok Sabha member due to his conviction, is likely to move to the house once occupied by former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit.
Sources told ANI that Dikshit’s son Sandeep is currently residing in this house at B2 Nizamuddin East in South Delhi district.
Sources said the former Wayanad MP is currently in a process of shifting his house to another building in the same area.
However, the final call has not been taken yet and it will be taken only after the approval for his security.
Rahul is accorded Z-plus security.
The former Congress president had vacated his house in April when he was disqualified from Lok Sabha following his conviction in a criminal defamation case by a Gujarat court.
He is currently livng with his mother Sonia Gandhi at her 10 Janpath residence.
Sources also said that after receiving a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from security agencies, Rahul will be a tenant of Sandeep Dikshit and he will be signing a rent agreement for the 1,500 sq ft flat situated behind Humayun’s Tomb.
