Odisha launches Ama KrushiAI bot for farmers | India News

NEW DELHI: The Odisha government has launched a chatbot dedicated to the agro sector that helps farmers with best agronomic practices, government schemes and loan products from more than 40 commercial and cooperative banks.
The Ama KrushAI bot was launched by Odisha governor Sri Ganesh Lal in Bhubaneswar on Saturday at the annual Krushi Odisha event.
A live demonstration of the bot was also conducted.
Prem Chandra Chaudhary, director of agriculture and food production said “The government is continuously working for the betterment of farmers. Under the 5T program, this is the latest step we are taking towards leveraging Artificial Intelligence to improve the extension delivery for millions of farmers in our state.”
Odisha government in a release said Ama KrushAI is a revolutionary step towards providing contextualized and personalized extension services to the farmers based on their data in the Krushak Odisha state farmers’ database.
Its algorithm has been trained to effectively resolve farmers’ queries on a wide variety of topics. It also provides personalised responses to farmers based on their recorded data in the Krushak Odisha state farmers’ database, it further said.
Ama KrushAI is an artificial-intelligence-driven ChatBot built leveraging the recently launched ChatGPT system and Bhashini- a language interpretation platform developed by IIT Madras, it added.
The Krushi Odisha event witnessed the attendance of more than twenty thousand farmers and agri-entrepreneurs from across the state. This year, the theme focused on emerging technologies in agriculture.
