No significant weather is expected in the country during the next five days: IMD

PUNE: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in a recent update has said that no significant weather is expected in the country during the next five days.
IMD said in the update that the northern plains, including Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, north Rajasthan, and northwest Uttar Pradesh, minimum temperatures range from 6 to 10°C, which are considered normal to below normal.However, in other parts such as Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh, minimum temperatures range from 11 to 16°C, exceeding the normal range by 4-6°C. Karnal in Haryana recorded the lowest minimum temperature today at 4.2°C.
Fog conditions persisted in various pockets, with dense to very dense fog reported in isolated areas of East Uttar Pradesh, north Rajasthan, and northwest Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, dense fog was observed in parts of Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar.
Furthermore, precipitation was experienced in several regions. Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall occurred across Arunachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, with few places in Himachal Pradesh also receiving precipitation. Isolated areas in Jammu-Kashmir witnessed rainfall. Additionally, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura experienced light to moderate rainfall. Hailstorm activity was reported in isolated areas of Himachal Pradesh.
