Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Urvashi Rautela get notices for endorsing misleading ads | Hindi Movie News

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has slapped a notice on gaming company Lotus 365 as it took suo moto cognisance of an advertisement published in newspapers. The advertisement claimed that the firm was “India’s most trust sports exchange since 2015”.
The company has now been asked to submit proof of its claims. Meanwhile, celebrities like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Urvashi Rautela who endorse this brand have also got notices. They’ve been asked to reply as to how they found that the company’s claims were correct, before endorsing them. The consumer affairs ministry had asked celebs to carry out ‘specific diligence’ before signing up for endorsing products. These celebs also would have to prove how they saw the authenticity in the claims made by the brand before endorsing them.

Hence, three celebs including Nawaz and Urvashi have been given notices for endorsing the company’s “misleading” advertisement. It has sought response of the firm and the celebrities before initiating action.
Meanwhile, Nawazuddin is already surrounded by controversies as he’s fighting a legal battle against his wife Aaliya Siddiqui.
