Natalie Portman and her husband, Benjamin Millepied, are currently facing a challenging situation as she discovered her spouse’s affair with a 25-year-old woman, according to a news report published by Page Six. Despite separating last year, the couple worked through their issues, only to be hit by the news of Millepied’s infidelity.

Recent photographs in France indicate that Millepied has been spending time with Camille Étienne, a young climate activist. A close source revealed to Page Six that although they have not officially split, they strive to reconcile their relationship. Millepied is trying to seek forgiveness from Portman, emphasizing his love for her and their family.

Known for her privacy, Portman is focusing on protecting their children during this challenging period. Reports suggest that problems in their marriage were an open secret on the set of Portman’s upcoming film “May December,” which was shot over 23 days in November. Even at the recent Cannes Film Festival premiere, rumors circulated that the couple’s relationship was still on shaky ground.

While Portman, 41, made promotional appearances in the French Riviera city, Millepied, 45, was conspicuously absent.

Nevertheless, a close source told Page Six that they were still together. After the film festival, the couple was seen together attending a Beyoncé concert in Paris on May 26. Subsequent photographs captured them kissing during a dinner in the French city on May 29.

Adding to the controversy, the French magazine Voici recently reported that Millepied has been spending time with Étienne. According to the magazine, Portman discovered her husband’s affair with the young woman in early March. Voici published images of Millepied and Étienne separately entering his office on May 24 and leaving ten minutes apart nearly two hours later.

Étienne, a friend of renowned environmental activist Greta Thunberg, has created several short films on environmental issues and authored the book “For an Ecological Uprising: Overcoming Our Collective Powerlessness.” She was also recognized by French Vanity Fair as one of the “50 French women who made 2020.”

Portman and Millepied first met on the set of Black Swan, where Portman starred, and Millepied choreographed and appeared. They collaborated again on her 2018 film Vox Lux, in which Portman played a troubled pop star. In 2011, they welcomed their first child, son Aleph, followed by daughter Amalia in 2017.
