Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of the Bikaner Railway station on July 8.
The railway station will be re-developed at a cost of around Rs. 450 crores – this will involve renovation of all platforms while ensuring preservation of the heritage status of the existing structure of the station.
On the same day, PM Modi will also dedicate to the nation, a six-lane greenfield expressway section of the Amritsar – Jamnagar Economic Corridor.
The railway station will be re-developed at a cost of around Rs. 450 crores – this will involve renovation of all platforms while ensuring preservation of the heritage status of the existing structure of the station.
On the same day, PM Modi will also dedicate to the nation, a six-lane greenfield expressway section of the Amritsar – Jamnagar Economic Corridor.
The economic corridor is built at a cost of around Rs. 11,125 crore and will span over 500 km in Rajasthan. A section of the corridor will pass through village Jakhdawali in Hanumangarh district to village Khetlawas in Jalore district.
This expressway will significantly reduce travel time and improve connectivity between major cities, and industrial corridors.
Additionally, it will facilitate seamless transportation of goods and also enhance tourism and economic development along its route.
