Mysuru ‘yuvaraja’ owns no car, house or land, says poll affidavit | India News

BENGALURU: Yaduveer Krishnaraja Datta Wadiyar, the titular head of the erstwhile Mysuru royal family and BJP candidate for Mysore Lok Sabha seat, does not own a house, land, or even a vehicle, according to the affidavit he filed with the Election Commission of India Monday.
In the affidavit, ‘yuvaraja’ Yaduveer declared assets worth Rs 9 crore – primarily comprising shareholdings and other valuables – with no immovable property or vehicle registered in his name.His wife Trishika Kumari Wadiyar and the couple’s son Aadyaveer own assets worth Rs 1 crore and Rs 3.6 crore, respectively, the affidavit stated. Yaduveer owns gold and silver worth Rs 3.4 crore, while Trishika possesses precious metals worth Rs 1 crore. The couple hold directorial roles in several companies, including Little Buntings Private Limited and the Bherunda Foundation.
Yaduveer, 32, is locked in a direct fight with Congress candidate M Lakshmana, who is also the party’s spokesperson in Karnataka.
In stark contrast to Yaduveer, Mandya Congress candidate Venkatramne Gowda, aka Star Chandru, has disclosed assets worth a staggering Rs 622 crore, that predominantly consist of extensive land holdings.
PC Mohan, incumbent BJP Bangalore Central MP who is seeking re-election from the seat has reported assets worth Rs 66.4 crore, along with liabilities of Rs 15.8 crore.
