An investigation is reportedly being conducted regarding a crash that has gone viral, involving Michael B Jordan‘s car in Los Angeles.
A video of the incident has been widely circulated, and the investigation has been launched in response to this.
The Los Angeles Police Department is currently looking into Michael B. Jordan’s recently crashed Ferrari in Los Angeles, which has gained attention after a video of the accident was circulated online.
A video posted on Instagram on Wednesday, December 13, showed Michael B. Jordan in a blue Ferrari racing another Ferrari. In the video, Jordan’s Ferrari is seen driving alongside the red Ferrari before it appears to veer off of the road and crash into a parked car.
TMZ reported last Friday, December 15th, that the LAPD is looking into the possibility that Michael Jordan, 36, was driving the Ferrari at the time of the crash. Should law enforcement find any culpability, they would then send the case to prosecutors to consider charges, according to the article.
On December 3, Jordan was driving his Ferrari when it collided with a stationary Kia. The Los Angeles Police Department reported the occurrence as a “traffic collision of a vehicle into a parked [car],” and noted that there was no evidence of foul play or that Jordan was under the influence of any substances.
Confirmation from the Los Angeles Police Department revealed that no one was taken into custody at the scene, and that Jordan and the motorist in the Kia traded facts. Pictures of the collision evidenced that Jordan’s vehicle lost its right fender and one tire.
On Wednesday, the video of the accident began to be broadly shared on multiple social media networks. As of yet, Jordan has not made any public remarks about the occurrence.
The operator of the red automobile in the footage, Tenshi Angel, gave an interview to Entertainment Tonight on Friday (Dec. 15, 2023) regarding the incident, mentioning that he was simply “enjoying the moment” when the blue Ferrari sped up alongside his car.
Angel remembered, “We were just slowly walking two blocks before the recording session. We moved along and then, when we reached the midway point of the next block, we revved the engines a bit. That’s when we were like, ‘Oh!’ We honked the horn thrice and I drove off and that was it.”
According to Angel, the cars were “accelerating their engines” but not actually “moving quickly”. He observed that the vehicles “were not quite next to each other” when the mishap occurred.
Angel recounted that the other car was “a foot” behind her. She added that it could be difficult to see in those kinds of automobiles.
Angel recollected that his car had started to move faster before he realized the other Ferrari had vanished. He stated, “So then I decelerated.”
Angel commented that if he had been aware of Jordan’s accident, he would have “halted to offer assistance.” He went on to say, “I assumed he had made the turn and was simply not in the mood to go on. I just proceeded.”
