Melissa Joan Hart posted a raw video of her experience being nearby the Nashville school shooting.

The 46-year-old Sabrina the Teenage Witch star recorded the video the day of the shooting (March 27) but decided to wait before posting it.

“My kids go to school right next to where there was a shooting today.” Melissa said in the video.

She also revealed that this is actually the second school shooting she has been close to.

“We moved here from Connecticut, where we were in a school a little down ways from Sandy Hook,” she continued.

The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting occurred in December 2012 in Newtown, Connecticut. Twenty six people were killed in that shooting.

“So this is our second experience with a school shooting, with our kids being in close proximity.” Melissa said. “Luckily we are all okay.”

Melissa then recounted helping others get to safety amidst the chaos.

“My husband and I were on our way to school for conferences. Luckily our kids were not in today,” Melissa said as she got more emotional. “We helped a class of kindergarteners across a busy highway, that were climbing out of the woods, trying to escape the shooting situation at their school. So we helped these tiny kids cross the road and get their teachers over there.”

“We helped a mom reunite with her children,” she continued as she teared up. “I don’t know what to say anymore.”

“Prayers today, Action tomorrow,” Melissa captioned the video.

Other stars have also reacted to the Nashville school shooting and spoken out.
