[ad_1]

If you thought OnlyFans was just for adult content, you’re missing out on lots of laughs. LMAOF is a new comedy series now streaming on  OnlyFans TV (OFTV), OnlyFans’ free, safe-for-work streaming service. LMAOF showcases some of the hottest comics from across the country. One of these comics is Martin Morrow.

Martin, who is originally from Birmingham, Alabama, has performed in clubs, colleges, and festivals all over the world and has worked with some of the top names in comedy, including Tim Allen, Eric Andre, Neal Brennan, Bobby Cannavale, Gabriel Iglesias, Jamie Kennedy, Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Tig Notaro, Amy Schumer, and Katt Williams. Martin is an alumnus of The Second City Mainstage in Chicago and a former ensemble cast member of the Second City Touring Company. He also wrote and produced several videos for The Second City Network with SNL’s Chris Redd.

Martin currently performs improv with the award-winning Harry Potter-themed improv troupe, The Show That Shall Not Be Named. Among his many appearances, Martin can be seen on Adult Swim’s Tim and Eric’s Game Show, Amazon Prime’s Inside Jokes with Asif Ali, Collegehumor’s Hot Date, Comedy Central’s Why? with Hannibal Buress, and the ninth season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing.

We spoke with Martin about his comedy, and working with OFTV and we even put him in the hot seat for the Socialite Seven.

How did you get your start in comedy?

I started as part of a duo called Tubbi and Martin while in college at Auburn. I moved to New York briefly, then back to Birmingham, where I primarily started performing solo, and then to Chicago to study improv/sketch and now I’ve been in LA for seven years.

How long have you been performing?

Too long…haha. I started when I was about 18/19 years old, and now I’m 35.

How would you describe your comedic style?

A hybrid of energy, storytelling, engagement, observation, realist, race humor.

What is your joke writing process like?

Something happens, I try my best to remember, if I remember it in a day, I figure it’s funny enough to stick with other people and I put it in my notes in my phone and try it out. I don’t like writing word for word what I’m going to say.

Who were your influences?

My cousins, my peers like Mateen Stewart, Papp Johnson, Brandi Denise, Terry Tee, Funnymaine, Narado, Trey Moe and the legends like Patrice O’ Neal, Roy Wood, Jr. Hannibal Buress, Baron Vaughn, Chris Rock, and Dave Chappelle who allowed themselves to be vulnerable, honest, and real.

Do you have a funny bombing story?

Yes. I got booed off of the stage at the UIC Pavilion opening for Katt Williams. He was really nice about it.

How do you deal with hecklers?

Threaten to fight them. Kidding. You address it, shit on them, then move on. They want attention, if you give them too much then you’ve derailed your set.

How did you get affiliated with OFTV?

This question is going to make everyone bombard me with stuff after this interview…My friend recommended me. THIS IS A GOOD FRIEND WHO HAS REGULARLY AND CONSISTENTLY SEEN ME PERFORM AND DO WELL SO IT MADE SENSE FOR THEM TO GIVE MY NAME, NOT SOMEONE I BARELY KNOW OR WHO BOMBS ALL THE TIME, GUYS.

What do you hope to achieve with your comedy?

To get to the next level so I can buy a house in Los Angeles, start a family, and then get into producing and directing.

What’s next for you?

Some traveling and taking a break to repair my voice.

Terri Nunn

A few days ago while I was out, my dog jumped onto my kitchen counter and pried open my window above my sink and then was just chilling in the alley by my apartment. So that’s probably my biggest pet peeve currently. That she can do that. Before that, IDK, chewing too loud or something.

If you could wake up tomorrow with a talent you don’t already possess or a superpower, what would you want?

Time travel, super speed, the ability to play every instrument, and a super knowledge of finances.

If they made a movie of your life, who would you want to play you?

The buff version of Michael B. Jordan.

What overused word or phrase would you love to eliminate forever?

“Bussin”

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

“The only people whose opinion of you matter are your parents’ cause they actually know and love you.”

“Navigate your minefields.”

“Life is short. But it’s looooong. But it’s SHORT. So have fun with the shit.”
