Manisha Koirala pens a note to filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Sanjay Leela Bhansali Gangubai Kathiawadi won 10 awards at the 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023 with Maharashtra Tourism. The film won Best Actress, Best Director and Best Film awards among others on Thursday in Mumbai.

On Saturday, Manisha Koirala took to Instagram and gave a shout-out to Sanjay Leela Bhansali calling him ‘genius’ and wrote a long post dedicated to him.





She wrote, “So so so proud of you dear Sanjay..working with you has reminded me yet again why I am in this field after 3 decades..You are a true artist..you breath cinema.., you live for it..you give your all to cinema..this level of consistent hard work is the epitome of #workethics I rarely get to witness!! Awards are by product of your passion and getting 10 Filmfare awards is a great milestone!! Here’s wishing you many more..keep us on our toes, keep us inspired, keep us in awe with your cinema !!! Manisha Koirala will star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming series Heeramandi alongside Sharmin Segal, Aditi Rao Hydari,  Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha and Sanjeeda Sheikh.

The actress played the lead in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial debut, the 1996 film Khamoshi with Salman Khan.
