NASHIK: The anti-corruption bureau in Nashik filed a case against Shiv Sena (UBT) city president Sudhakar Badgujar on charges of misconduct, forgery and cheating, reports Santosh Sonawane.
Meanwhile, Nashik police have registered a separate case against Badgujar on Sunday after a video purportedly showing him dancing with fugitive terrorist Dawood Ibrahim’s aid Salim Kutta surfaced.The police have been questioning Badgujar for the past three days in connection with the case.
Nashik ACB SP Sharmishtha Gharge-Walavalkar said their case pertains to a 2016 report by a senior Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) official who claimed that Badgujar, who was then a corporator and a member of the NMC standing committee, was taking contracts for his own firm from the civic body.
He will likely be called for questioning on Monday and could also be arrested for custodial interrogation, said ACB officials.
