Newly engaged couple Chris Appleton and Lukas Gage are having a blast in the Bahamas. On Friday, Appleton and Gage shared photos from their beach vacation on Instagram, including several pictures of the new friends they made along the way. Their new friends? Adorable beach pigs.
Appleton and Gage met the pigs on Eleuthera Island. The stunning destination features several excursions where tourists can swim with beach pigs, and the couple took full advantage of their outing. Not only did they swim with the squealing cuties, they also fed them. In a video shared by Appleton, Gage can be heard saying “babe, watch out” as his boyfriend offers one pig a snack and quickly finds himself surrounded.
The celebrity hairstylist’s carousel also featured a photo of him and Gage posing together as the “You” actor wears a flower in his hair and raises his drink to the camera, a selfie with a sand-covered pig, the guys standing on swings in the ocean, and Appleton making a sand angel. Meanwhile, Gage shared his own carousel, which included more shots of the couple posing with the cute pigs. Appleton captioned his post, “This little piggy,” while Gage dubbed his, “Itty bitty piggy island.”
Gage and Appleton first confirmed their relationship in March. The news came after they shared photos from a vacation to Mexico in February and hit the red carpet together at Vanity Fair and TikTok’s A Night For Young Hollywood party in Los Angeles on March 8.
During an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show” on March 15, Appleton opened up about his relationship with Gage. “I’m very happy, very much in love,” he shared with the host. “I feel very grateful to be able to share my time with someone special. I think meeting someone that you really connect with is really, really special.”
On April 5, rumors began swirling that Appleton and Gage were engaged. While the couple have yet to discuss their reported engagement, a source confirmed the news to People. “Friends in their circle are definitely shocked at how quick it happened, but they’re happy for them,” the source said. “They seem like the real deal.”
