Like Flowers in Sand is a new romantic drama that depicts the journey of young individuals as they strive to find success and happiness in their lives within the realm of ssireum, a traditional Korean wrestling sport. Set in the renowned ssireum city of Geosan, the story revolves around Kim Baek-doo, a talented ssireum athlete, and his first love, Oh Yoo-kyung.
The trailer shows us Jang Dong-yoon as a desperate wrestler who is shouting on a call that if he doesn’t receive the Jangsa title, he’ll retire. It further showcases him meeting Lee Ju-myoung’s character who he mistakenly calls Du-sik.
The trailer further shows him retiring and then getting inspired by his first love to try again.
Like Flowers in Sand will premiere on December 20, 2023.
