The tenth season of Binge Queens is here – exclusively streaming on WOW Presents Plus – and a new set of dolls are here to spill the tea, cut up and kiki – all from the comfort of their couches. This season welcomes All Stars 8 fan-favorites LaLa Ri and Jessica Wild to sit down and recap RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs the World season 2.

We met Jessica Wild on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 2. She wowed us with her spicy Latin style and took the chance to play Mama Ru herself in the series’ first-ever Snatch Game. On All Stars 8, Jessica gave us one of the season’s most memorable li syncs as she went up against Ra’Jah O’ Hara with an enormous set of “Coconuts”, won the Supermarket Ball and ended placing hirs on the season.

LaLa Ri may be beat known for the infamous bag dress from the season 13 ball, but in the same season, she snatched the crown as Miss Congeniality. She had a fashion Ru-demption on All Stars 8, giving the series’ best confessionals and winning the title Queen of the Fame Games.

We caught up with Jessica and LaLa to talk about the new season of Binge Queens (also featuring Drag Race UK’s Tayce and Angeria Paris VanMicheals), their All Stars experience and lots more in our exclusive interview.

What’s it like being on the couch together for the new season of Binge Queens?
LaLa: Oh, it was amazing. Me and Jessica, we already had a genuine sisterhood from the first time that we met on the set of All Stars. So, it was good to be back with her and just cackle and drink and eat and judge other queens without being judged.

Jessica: As soon as I got the call…World of Wonder contacted me and told me it’s going to be with LaLa Ri I knew that it’s going to be an experience – a good one because with LaLa it’s always a good experience and we have a connection. It’s going to be an amazing celebration of Binge Queens Season 10 with me and LaLa together.

Who are you looking forward to seeing compete the most on this new season of Drag Race UK vs the World?
LaLa: I don’t know. Honestly, I’m looking forward to seeing everybody because everybody’s drag is just so different and amazing and I want to see how they all compete because there’s a difference when you compete with your country, and then have to compete against other countries. Drag is different all over the world, so I was super excited to see everybody and see how they bring it amongst girls from all over the world.

Jessica: Yeah.  Especially because the girls, this is like a second chance to win a crown, so when you are there for a second time, I think you come in as a completely different person. Like, for me and LaLa, that we just barely did All Stars, and now we’re judging the girls, talking about the girls on Binge Queens. It was like being like being back on the competition.

Between the two of you, who do you think is the shadiest?
LaLa:
I think Jessica is very shady – and the thing with Jessica, she can say it in Spanish and you wouldn’t even understand if she’s being shady to you or not.

Jessica: That’s right. That’s right. It’s part of the fun – but LaLa’s shady too.

LaLa: I’ll try to keep my Miss Congeniality hat on. But…that check is cashed already. So, hey, I can be as shady as I want to, you know.

Jessica, since you’ve been around since season two, how do you feel the show has evolved since you were on the first, that second season?
Jessica: Oh my God, it’s a different story. We have a lot of Latinos working on the production and I felt really welcome because on my season, nobody spoke Spanish and I was a little lost. But besides that, Drag Race is a phenomenon. We have a lot of franchises.  On my season, our concern was like, what Forever 21 dress are you going to wear on this week’s runway? And now these girls, they bring so much creativity and it’s a lot. This generation is sickening. I’m impressed all the time with what drag is doing these days.

LaLa, what was it like for you going from the infamous bag dress to becoming the Queen of the Fame Games on All Stars?
LaLa: It was amazing. You know, the infamous bag dress is still talked about to this day. And I cherish that moment for the rest of my life because they would never let me forget it. But to grow from that and to also be the Queen of the Fame Games, it means a lot because it was fan voted. So, to have the fan support means a lot because we do this for the fans, and without the fans, we would be nothing. I am very appreciative of that moment; it just shows the evolution of LaLa Ri. From gift bags to money bags.

You both had a really good run on All Stars 8. What was your favorite challenge of that season?
Jessica:
For me, it was the roast because I was very scared and, and I’m so proud of what I did. And now watching the season, I’m like, wow, I survived that. I’m good. I can do anything. No matter that I was scared. I think that’s my favorite to be honest,

LaLa: For me, it was so many, but I will have to say the improv challenge when I was a security guard, because I won that challenge first of all, but it was so fun to do, and it’s still talked about to this day, it’s on my social media, and people actually think that’s a show outside of Drag Race, like it’s their own separate show, and they be like, where can I find this show at? So, that challenge was amazing for me.

And what did you struggle the most with on the season?
Jessica:
For me, sewing.

LaLa: Yeah, I learned how to sew. Sewing is still a challenge for me, but we made it do. And you know, we saw what I came up with on the season.

Well, I have to tell you LaLa, I thought you were the queen of confessionals on All Stars.  If that was a title, you should have won it.
LaLa: You know, I just love to chat, you know, and stuff to be a part of binge points and be able to just talk and chat and give my opinion. It’s the best job for me, honey. Thank you so much.

What has been the best thing that’s happened to the both of you since becoming part of the Drag Race family?
Jessica: I think the opportunity to have the job of my dreams because Drag Race opened the doors for me to be around the world, to meet beautiful people all the time and to perform  everywhere. And, besides that, you get paid and you are living your dream.

LaLa: Yes, I definitely agree. It has definitely opened doors for us and given us a multitude of opportunities, even outside of drag. I’ve been presented some opportunities as well, just because of my personality, you know, people just want to hear me talk so they book me just to talk. It’s just been amazing to just come from being a Southern little boy from Atlanta, Georgia, to be able to experience the entire world. It’s so surreal sometimes still to me, you know, that people know who I am. I was in a country on vacation and people were coming up to me and saying, “LaLa Ri, oh my god, I love you.” So, to have these kinds of moments, it just means a lot to me.

What are your future plans?
LaLa: Well, for me, and actually in like two weeks, I’ll be on tour the Love Ball Tour with Shea Couleé, Tayce, Monét X Change and Luxx Noir London. We’re going to be touring the country, but then hopefully we’re going to expand that. And, I may have other TV things coming out. You’ve just got to keep your eyes open. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to film some other shows so I’m excited for that to transpire and, you know, more music. That’s coming as well for me, so I’m just using all these opportunities to do everything I want to, plus more.

Jessica: Right now I’m just traveling, traveling, traveling and doing things like Binge Queens and other surprises. I think my career is getting better and better, but right now I’m very busy with the travel.

Do you both enjoy the touring?
Jessica: Sometimes…but every time I’m on stage, I forget about my sacrifice or if I didn’t sleep or if I didn’t eat, but because it’s a blessing.

LaLa: I love it. I love the most that I get to, first of all, meet fans all over the world and experience different cultures because I’m all about culture and food and all that. So, to be able to travel the world and experience different cultures is always amazing…but I do like to be at home in my own bed sometimes and eat my little Atlanta wings.

Jessica: I love to go out. I love it. And every time I call LaLa and ask, “Are you coming sis?” She’s in bed.

LaLa: Yeah. That’s me. I’m the only drag queen that does not go out to nightclubs!
