Kashmiri: Special Summary Revision: J&K constitutes 22 teams to facilitate Kashmiri migrants | India News

JAMMU: To ensure maximum awareness and facilitation of Kashmiri migrants in electoral rolls of constituencies of their original residence, the Jammu and Kashmir Relief and Rehabilitation (M) Department has set up 22 teams in camp and non-camp areas.
“These teams have been constituted to make aware Kashmiri migrants in camp and non-camp areas of J&K UT and for outreach programmes in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Ahmadabad, Delhi and Chandigarh,” said an official on Tuesday.
“Besides, two special teams have been constituted wherein 16 officers, 56 officials and 50 casual labourers have been engaged under the supervision of Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), J&K,” the official stated.
“For zonal area awareness campaign, all the officers/officials of 22 zones have been declared as BLOs and tasked with conducting door-to-door awareness programmes, besides enrolling Kashmiri migrants in electoral rolls,” the official said, adding: “The whole Special Summary Revision campaign is being carried out under the supervision of the Chief Electoral Officer, J&K.”
