Josh Peck, best known for his role alongside Drake Bell in the beloved Nickelodeon series Drake & Josh, has publicly voiced his support for Bell. This comes in the wake of Bell’s courageous disclosure of sexual abuse he endured at the age of 15 by a then-dialogue coach on the show.

Following the airing of the Investigation Discovery documentary series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, which shed light on the dark underbelly of child actors’ experiences in the industry, Peck took to Instagram to extend his solidarity. In his post, Peck acknowledges the immense bravery of those who came forward with their harrowing accounts, stating, “Children should be protected. Reliving this publicly is incredibly difficult, but I hope it can bring healing for the victims and their families as well as necessary change to our industry.”

This expression of support arrives amidst criticism aimed at Peck for his initial silence on the matter. However, Drake Bell himself intervened, urging the public to moderate their judgment of Peck. “He has reached out to talk with me and help me work through this, and has been really great. So just wanted you guys to know that, and to take it a little easy on him,” Bell revealed in a TikTok video.

Further solidarity came from Nancy Sullivan, famed for her role as the mother of Bell’s character on Drake & Josh, who expressed her deep sadness upon learning of Bell’s ordeal at the hands of former dialogue coach Brian Peck.

The unfolding events have sparked a broader conversation about child safety and welfare within the entertainment industry, highlighting the need for systemic changes to protect young talent.
