The 34-year-old entertainer was on stage during one of the JoBros‘ Yankee Stadium performances on August 12, 2023. He was about to sing “Hesitate,” which he wrote for her.

Fans are noting that just three weeks ago, Joe shouted out Sophie before singing. He said she “had his back no matter what.”

Joe said on stage before singing, “If you’re going through a tough time, they reach out to you, they’ve got your back no matter what. That person is here with me tonight, Sophie. So I’d love to hear you sing this with me if you don’t mind. I want you to think of that person. If that person’s here, you’ve got to hold them tight.”

Similarly, at a performance this past May, Joe dedicated the song to her, saying, “Sophie, where you at? There’s not much to say, but I love you.”
