Jitan Ram Manjhi working as BJP’s spy, claims Nitish Kumar

PATNA: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar accused HAM(S) founder Jitan Ram Manjhi on Friday of “spying” for BJP.
Responding to media queries on the recent exit of HAM(S) from the governing Grand Alliance (GA), Nitish said, “Had he (Manjhi) been continuing with us, he would have been passing on more information to BJP.”
“A meeting of opposition parties from across the country has been planned in Patna (on June 23). Manjhi wanted to participate in that meeting … if he (Manjhi) would have been allowed to be present, all matters would have been leaked to BJP,” Nitish said. He was referring to Manjhi’s meeting with Amit Shah in New Delhi in April this year.
The CM accepted that he had asked Manjhi to either merge his party with JD(U) or quit the GA. Manjhi preferred to quit the GA, he said.
