JD(U) releases candidate list for Bihar; drops two sitting MPs, fields two turncoats | India News

NEW DELHI: The JD(U), led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has revealed its candidates for all 16 Lok Sabha seats it will contest in the state.
The party, in a move announced by national vice president Vashishth Narayan Singh in the presence of senior leaders, has opted to replace two sitting MPs and fielded two recent entrants.
The sitting MPs who have been replaced are from Sitamarhi and Siwan. Devesh Chandra Thakur will stand as the JD(U) candidate in Sitamarhi, while Vijay Laxmi Kushwaha will contest from Siwan.
Notably, Lovely Anand, who recently switched from RJD to JD(U), has been nominated to run in Sheohar. This decision comes as the party gears up for the upcoming elections.
