Janhvi Kapoor to mark her Tamil debut with a Kamal Hassan movie? Here’s what we know | Hindi Movie News

Janhvi Kapoor, who has already signed her first Telugu film ‘Devara’ opposite Jr NTR , is now hitting headlines for her Tamil debut. Janhvi has often expressed her desire to work in South films and stated that it would be a dream come true to work there.
It is being speculated that Janhvi will star in a Tamil movie backed by her mother Sridevi’s dear friend Kamal Hassan.The two of them have worked together in more than two dozen films, including the iconic ‘Sadma’. According to a news portal, Janhvi’s Tamil debut will be directed by Vignesh Shivan, who last called the shots for ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’, starringVijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and Samantha. However, Indiatoday has reported that Jahnvi has not been approached for this project, which is still being scripted by Vignesh Shivan and Praddep Ranganathan.
Back in Bollywood, Janhvi has ‘Bawaal’ up for an OTT release. She shares the frame with Varun Dhawan in this Nitesh Tiwari directorial. She will also be seen in sports drama ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ with Rajkummar Rao. Janhvi also has ‘Ulajh’ with Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew.
