IndianOil notches record capex at Rs 35,205 crore

NEW DELHI: State-run IndianOil’s spending hit an all-time high of Rs 35,205 crore in 2022-23, the company said in a statement on Monday.
The company invested Rs 34,388 crore in its own projects and Rs 817 crore in joint ventures and subsidiaries. The company has 120 ongoing projects of various sizes, with a total capital cost of around Rs 2.4lakh crore.
Company chairman SM Vaidya credited employees’ and unwavering commitment to excellence for the operational feat.
IOC refineries clocked highest-ever throughput of over 72.4 million tonne (MT) in 2022-23, compared to 67.6 MT in the preceding fiscal. Liquid pipelines throughput rose from about 83.2 MT in 2021-22 to the highest-ever 94.7 MT during FY23.
While the company registered its highest-ever pipeline expansion of about 2,450 km during the fiscal, it also commissioned 1,784 retail outlets, or about 46% of pumps commissioned by public sector companies.
