Rohit Shetty’s cop universe is now set to debut on OTT, with ‘Indian Police Force‘. The series stars Sidharth Malhotra along with Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi. The show has already been wrapped up and was set to begin streaming this Diwali. However, a new report suggests that the makers are planning to push the release date further. Here’s why!
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Rohit Shetty and the streaming platform have strategically decided to push the release date of ‘Indian Police Force’.The Diwali weekend is expected to be packed with the release of ‘Tiger 3’ and the ongoing Cricket World Cup. The audience’s attention is definitely going to be towards these biggies! ‘Tiger 3’ is highly awaited for a while now, and hence, the audience is expected to flock to theatres. So, the makers have decided to push the release date.
However, Pinkvilla has quoted a source saying that Rohit Shetty was keen on having a Diwali release only because he’s treated his audience in theatres with some major Diwali releases. More so, because ‘Indian Police Force’ is for the family audience.
Well now we shall wait to hear from the horse’s mouth to know the final release date. Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty has begun shooting for ‘Singham Again‘. Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan are in Hyderabad to shoot the film and reportedly, Akshay Kumar has also joined them.
‘Singham Again’ also stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor and is set for release in August 2024.
