Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-starrer War 2 is among the most-awaited films in Bollywood. The sequel to the 2019 blockbuster will be directed by Ayan Mukerji, and as per the media report, YRF, the producers are eyeing for 2025 Republic Day weekend. As per reports, War 2 will go on floors from November 2023, and if the production goes on track, the movie will be released on Republic Day weekend.
A source disclosed to the portal, “Republic Day weekend is proving to be a great money spinner for the Hindi Film Industry. Be it Agneepath or Pathaan, both Hrithik and YRF have tasted success on this date and are now considering a Republic Day 2025 release for War 2. In fact, Hrithik’s next, Fighter, is also set to release on the same weekend in 2024.”
The insider added that it is a tentative date, and arrangements have been made with that in mind. Only after the movie begins production in November will the precise date be secured. War 2 may not debut until the middle of 2025, but according to the article, the production hopes to do so on the 2025 Republic Day holiday.
