SRINAGAR: Security personnel at Srinagar International Airport detained four men and seized forged air tickets from them on Saturday, said officials.
All four are locals and had managed to enter the airport using the fake tickets. A preliminary investigation found that their motive behind the forgery was to see off their parents leaving for Umrah, an official said.
The suspects were identified as Srinagar residents Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh, Aaqib Mushtaq, Sakir Mushtaq, and Junaid Ahmad Bhat of Anantnag. They were later handed over to police for further investigation. Police are probing their connections inside the airport.
