For second day, Eknath Shinde aide expresses displeasure | India News

MUMBAI: Leaders of chief minister Eknath Shinde‘s Shiv Sena voiced for the second consecutive day their dissatisfaction at the induction of the Ajit Pawar group of NCP in the state government.
Sena MLA Sanjay Shirsat said, “It is but natural that this (Ajit Pawar faction joining the government) will affect the prospects of our members getting key positions in the government. Anyone within the governing factions getting upset over this will not be good for the government in the longer run. We hope the CM and deputy CM (Devendra Fadnavis) will resolve the matter amicably.”
He further said, “In politics, when our rival gang wants to join us, we have to take them in and that is what BJP did. After NCP joined us, people in our group were upset because some of our leaders will not get their desired positions. It is not true that all our leaders are happy with NCP joining us.”

However, he said it was the Shinde team that had joined hands with BJP first to form the government, and hence CM Shinde had more say and powers in deciding the fate of the newly-joined NCP leaders. Nine NCP ministers have been inducted.
The Shinde camp was reportedly holding a meeting of all its prominent leaders at the CM’s official bungalow Varsha at the time of going to press, apparently to decide on the distribution of portfolios.
Shirsat added, “We were always against NCP, and even today we are against Sharad Pawar. Uddhav Thackeray was used by Pawar Senior as the CM, which was the bone of contention between us and him.”
