Shahid Kapoor’s OTT debut series Farzi is all set to hit our screens tomorrow. The highly anticipated series is created by Raj & DK. The web series also marks the first acting collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and National award-winning Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi.
Shahid Kapoor will portray a never-seen-before character. In the web series, Shahid Kapoor plays a street artist who, with his cleverness and cunning, intends to teach the system a lesson.
In an interview with a leading news agency, Sahid Kapoor stated, “I wanted to do something different and challenge myself. I have been doing this for almost 20 years and need to feel challenged and excited. It is a long-form format. I was excited to see how I can build a character over eight to nine episodes in the first season.”
The Plot
Farzi is a fast-paced eight-episode crime thriller series set against the backdrop of the fake currency business, which has crippled the nation economically. Throughout the web series, we follow a clever street artist who is trying to take advantage of a corrupt system that favours the wealthy.
The Cast
Apart from Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, the web series also stars Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar and Regina Cassandra.
Release Date
Farzi is set to be released on February 10, 2023.
