Farmer organisations raise voice against violent action on protesting wrestlers | India News

BATHINDA: The anger is mounting in various farmer organisations against central government and Delhi Police upon crackdown against the protesting wrestlers and those are into solidarity. The farmer organisations have threatened of intensifying the protests terming the action as highhandedness and injustice. The farmer organisations have started taking out protest marches and burning effigies of central government.
Farmer organisation Krantikari Kisan Union president Darshan Pal and general secretary Gurmeet Singh Mahma taking on the central government said that the anti women face of BJP has come to fore and its slogan of Beti Bachao Beti Padao has proved hollow. The government not only beat up the protesters but also took farmers heading towards Jantar Mantar in custody and hundreds of farmers will reach Jantar Mantar on May 8. They also accused the Aam Aadmi Party lead Delhi Government of not providing electricity, water and medical services to protesters despite making tall claims.
Farmer organisation BKU Ekta Sidhupur held marches in districts against central government action and threatened to intensify the protest.
Farmer organisation BKU Ekta Dakaunda (Manjit Group) burnt effigies of central government in villages in the districts of Barnala and Bathinda and said that they will continue holding protests.
BKU Ekta Ugrahan denouncing the central government action has stated that it is for the arrest of Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. BKU Ekta Ugrahan President Joginder Singh Ugrahan said that the organisation has decided to send a jatha of women wing activists to Jantar Mantar on May 7 in solidarity with protesting wrestlers. After that the farmer organisation will hold protests in 16 districts of Punjab, 3 in Haryana and 2 in Uttrakhand.
